Professional Piano Lessons in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia

Piano lessons in San Pedro del Pinatar

My piano lessons in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, are tailored to meet individual students’ needs and wishes, and I offer piano lessons for kids, adults, beginners and advanced students. Most of my students take either Practical and Performance Grades with the ABRSM, although this is not mandatory.

I teach students from age five and provide piano lessons to many retired adults, many of whom are complete beginners. I believe it is never too late to learn, so if you are recently retired and have always wanted to play the piano, you’ve come to the right place.

Although my piano lessons are in San Pedro del Pinatar, many of my students travel from within the Mar Menor area of Murcia and Alicante; this includes San Javier, La Torre Golf, Mar Menor Golf, el Mojón, La Zenia, Torre Pacheco, Pilar de la Horadada, Los Alcázares and more.

For those that cannot travel, I also provide online piano lessonswhich work exceptionally well. It is even possible to have some face-to-face piano lessons and others online. This learning method has numerous benefits, and I continue to teach most of my UK piano students via Zoom, as well as many other piano students worldwide.

Qualifications and Experience

I completed my piano studies in the UK., and my qualifications include an M.Mus in Performance, a B.A. in Music Studies and ABRSM grade 8 piano (distinction).

As well as giving piano lessons in San Pedro del Pinatar, I am also the piano teacher at the local British International School, King’s College Murcia, close to La Torre Golf, Roldán.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching in my private studio, as well as schools in both the UK and Spain.

As well as receiving 5-star reviews on Google, here are some of my students’ testimonials. Hopefully, these will provide insight into the excellent relationship I have with parents and students.

Please view the ‘Qualifications and Piano Teaching Experience’ section for a complete list of my experience, background, and qualifications.

What do you learn?

Correct position for online piano lessons

Although I adapt my piano lessons to the needs and desires of each student, these are some of the things I offer:

  • Lessons taught on a grand piano
  • Classes in Spanish or English
  • Performance skills
  • Technique (scales and arpeggios)
  • Music Theory
  • Sight-reading
  • Aural training
  • Exercises and studies
  • Access to piano exams with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
  • The option to record their pieces

Format and Teaching Style

My piano lessons in San Pedro del Pinatar are given on a brand-new grand piano, a Yamaha C2X. Playing a grand piano makes a big difference, especially when students prepare for ABRSM exams, concerts etc.

Before students start formal piano lessons, I provide a FREE CONSULTATION. This allows us to meet and discuss your needs and goals.

Parents usually attend the consultation so that I can explain the format of the classes and so they can see where piano lessons are given. They typically leave the children for subsequent classes and pick them up afterwards.

Unfortunately, there is no waiting room for the parents.

I try to make the piano lessons as pleasant as possible. One way I do this is to allow students to express their opinion about the repertoire they want to study. If students enjoy lessons and the pieces they are learning, they are likely to practice more. I aim to help students reach their goals and guide them on their musical journey.
