About the Mentor
I am a dedicated and experienced piano teacher, providing personalised lessons for adults and children, either in person or online, suitable for learners of all ages and abilities.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of children and adults make steady progress, proving that it’s never too late to start learning piano.
Many of my students, from young beginners to retired adults, have achieved great results—whether playing simply for enjoyment or preparing for their ABRSM exams.
These exams give students clear goals and motivation. Through my experience teaching both in person and online, I have supported numerous students in successfully completing ABRSM Practical and Performance Grades, often with excellent outcomes.

Over 20 Years of Experience
Originally from North Yorkshire, England, I began playing the piano at the age of seven. After starting out as a self-taught pianist, I went on to study at Leeds Conservatoire, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music, followed by a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Leeds.
During my studies, I received several awards for piano performance and gave recitals as a professional pianist and accompanist.
At 21, I founded my own piano studio and have since built over 20 years of experience teaching children and adults, alongside working as a professional accompanist.
Since moving to Spain in 2017, I’ve continued teaching both in person and online, with students from around the world.
My lessons combine a strong classical foundation with a personalised approach, helping each student progress towards their own musical goals.
My qualifications include the following:
- Master’s (MMus) in Music Performance
- Bachelor’s degree (BA Hons) in Music Studies
- ABRSM Grade 8 Piano (distinction)
- ABRSM Certificate in Advanced Music Ensemble
- Homologation to ‘Título Superior de Música, especialidad de Interpretación’ (Music Performance).
- Friends’ Prize in Classical Piano from Leeds Conservatoire.
- Wayne Keld Memorial Award in Music.
- Outstanding Award for Creative Arts.
